Michelle Garcia Winner, MA, CCC-SLP, is the founder of Social Thinking and the developer of the Social Thinking Methodology. She opened her first clinic, The Center for Social Thinking, in 1998 after working as a public school speech and language therapist in California. Her common-sense teaching helped many of her clients develop strategies in both social competencies and executive functions, and in fact, several clients, who are now adults, continue to stay in touch to express their thanks, give updates, discuss ongoing struggles, and simply connect. She continues to be a practicing therapist in Silicon Valley, working primarily with young and mature adults who have unmet personal goals and seek executive functioning and social strategies. Currently, there are three officially licensed Social Thinking Clinics (San Jose, CA; Boston, MA; Santa Clara, CA). Each clinic is individually owned and operated.

Boston (Sudbury), MA

The Social Thinking—Boston Clinic provides group and individual therapy services, both in person and remotely, in the New England Area. The Boston clinic opened in 2012 under the direction of Nancy Clements, a social-cognitive therapist and a member of the Social Thinking Training and Speakers’ Collaborative (STTSC). Nancy and her team provide individual and group therapy sessions, as well as parent/caregiver consultation and school trainings (through the STTSC).
