Leah earned a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Graduate Certificate in Autism, and a Master’s in Education from Hamline University in St. Paul, MN. She has practiced as an OT and specialist in school and clinical settings, specializing in regulation and social-emotional learning.

Leah Kuypers, MA Ed., OTR/L, is the creator of The Zones of Regulation, a framework designed to foster regulation. She is the author of The Zones of Regulation® Digital Curriculum (zonesofregulation.com, 2024) and the new companion print book Getting Into The Zones of Regulation™: The Complete Framework and Digital Curriculum Companion (Think Social Publishing, 2024). In addition, she is the author of two Zones of Regulation apps, as well as co-creator of Navigating The Zones and Advanced Pack, a game and it’s expansion deck, the Zones storybook set, and Tools to Try card decks, all published by Think Social Publishing. Leah provides trainings and consultation to districts, professionals, and caregivers on regulation and social emotional learning and conducts workshops on The Zones of Regulation framework to groups around the world.
